About the Instructor: Sharon Kelly
I’m Sharon Kelly, and I am passionate about helping people over 50 stay active and healthy. As the founder of Super Ageing, my mission is to empower older adults to live life to the fullest by promoting fitness, wellness, and independence.
With years of experience and education in the fitness industry, I understand the unique needs and challenges that come with aging. I have designed “Fitness 4 Independence” to be accessible, enjoyable, and effective for all fitness levels, ensuring everyone can participate and benefit.
Class Schedule
Fitness 4 Independence classes are held at:
- Boab Room, Nightcliff Community Centre
- Fridays: 9:15 am – 10:00 am (45 Minutes)
- Commencing: Friday, October 4th, 2024
Stay Active with Seated or Standing Exercises
My Fitness 4 Independence class is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing participants to choose between seated or standing exercises. This approach ensures everyone can join in comfortably, regardless of their mobility level or preference.
- No Floor Work: Many people over 50 prefer to avoid getting down on the floor, and our class respects that by offering a variety of exercises that are just as effective without floor work.
- Improve Hip Mobility: We focus on exercises that enhance hip mobility, which is essential for maintaining balance, walking with ease, and performing daily activities. By targeting the hips, we help improve flexibility and reduce the risk of falls.
- Safe and Comfortable Options: Whether standing or sitting, you can choose the intensity and type of exercise that feels best for you, making it a safe and accessible option for all fitness levels.
